The Degree in Telecommunication Technology Engineering aims to train professionals in the technological knowledge and professional skills of telecommunication engineering, allowing students to specialise in one of the four basic technologies that support the Information Society: telecommunication systems, electronic systems, telematics, sound and image. The solid training that students acquire provides them with the ability to adapt to a sector in continuous evolution.

The degree has the EUR-ACE® accreditation, considered the most prestigious accreditation that can be obtained by an engineering degree awarded in Europe. Sponsored by the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE), it guarantees the quality of engineering study programmes in Europe.

The internationalisation plan allows students to study the fourth year entirely in English. The degree includes more than 50% of practical training, including laboratory and teamwork. It is worth highlighting the temporal configuration of the syllabus, which facilitates national and international mobility for students in the final year or work placements in companies.

Among its own characteristics, we have: (1) a mentoring programme (MEET-Teleco) that provides transversal competences (group management, time planning, empathy, emotional and social intelligence, leadership, etc. ) as well as helping new students in their incorporation into the university; (2) an employment orientation programme (OrientaTE) that facilitates access to the labour market in a degree programme where the level of unemployment is high; (3) multiple activities that allow our students to develop their social skills while at the same time consolidating their technical knowledge.

Career opportunities:

  • Areas of activity: Telecommunications operators, Banking, Security, Transport, Infrastructures, Telephony, Electronics, TV, Data transmission and internet, Digital Transformation.
  • Systems and networks: Technological design, design of telecommunication networks and systems, maintenance of telecommunication infrastructures, signal and image processing, electronic and intelligent systems, computer security, audiovisual design, development and management of applications and equipment.
  • New technologies: application of new technologies in medicine (design and maintenance of medical equipment, mobile health, tele-assistance, bio-design, tele-learning, digital administration, digital home, design and control of innovations in the telecommunications sector).
  • Management and consultancy: technology consultancy, innovation, technology manager, management career.
  • Teaching: graduates can opt for teaching positions in different educational sectors (secondary or vocational training) in both the public and private sectors.
  • R+D+I: graduates can opt for relevant positions in applied technological innovation in an infinite number of sectors, carrying out this work in research centres and also in the innovation divisions of large industries.
  • Graduates enjoy a high level of employability, with a high level of dedication to technical work in line with their training.
