The PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Related Industrial Innovation has the aim of training young graduates to academic scientific research and to its applications in industry, in the more up-to-date frontline areas within Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The PhD student will carry out her/his research along one of three curricula, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial, joining one of the laboratories in the Chemistry Department or in the Drug Sciences Department. The main research lines typical of the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Industrial curriculum are described in the PhD site. Beside laboratory research under the tutoring of a Professor or Researcher of the Chemistry Department or of the Drug Sciences Department, the PhD students will attend advanced courses, held by members of the two departments, that can be chosen among the list of 20 courses presently offered, in order to reach a total amount of 24 CFU (96 hours) along the three-years program. Attendance to departmental seminars, international and national workshops, schools, congresses and conferences will also be an important part of the formative path of the PhD students, along with public annual presentations of their own results.
Both for Italian and non-Italian speaking PhD students, all the activities (including the PhD thesis) will be in English. More information can be found in the PhD course site.

Admission Requirements

Applicants may apply for a PhD program without nationality restrictions if, at the cut-off date of the call for applications, they have obtained one of the following degrees:
·      Bachelor’s degree obtained according to the relevant regulations before the entry into force of Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999
·      Specialization degree (Ministerial Decree no. 509/1999)
·      Master’s degree (Ministerial Decree no. 270/2004) or eligible foreign qualification.
