Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta

Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (UAJY) is a private higher education institution that was founded by the common catholic followers and managed by Slamet Rijadi organization – Yogyakarta. UAJY has 6 faculties with 12 bachelor study programs and 7 master programs, including 4 international bachelor study programs with ± 11,307 students. UAJY is supported by 8 professors, 97 doctors, 228 masters as permanent teachers. All undergraduate and 50% of postgraduate study programs have been accredited by BAN-PT (Higher Education National Accreditation Board) as an A National Accredited. The university itself has achieved an A National Accreditation. In 2019, UAJY received a position of the 5th top private university in Indonesia.

Based on the results of the Higher Education Research appraisal period 2016 - 2018 and based on the decision letter of the Director General of Strengthening Research and Development number B / 5678 / E1.2 / HM00.03 / 2019 dated November 13, 2019 concerning Clusters or Collections of Universities based on research periods of 2016 - 2018 Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University was included in the MANDIRI (independent) cluster, or the highest cluster of research according to BAN-PT (Higher Education National Accreditation Board) because UAJY were successfully accomplished numerous national and international collaborative grants.

With a relatively safe and peaceful environment, UAJY is located in Special Province of Yogyakarta as the central city for study, culture, and tourism in Java. Yogyakarta is the most appropriate choice for high school graduates students in search of knowledge for the development of their future quality of life. Supported by relatively low living cost, and also supporting facility such as books shops, public library, transportation, communication, recreational place, cultural heritage, dormitory, hospital and many more. As a catholic university, UAJY runs its education process in Catholic beliefs. In that effort, UAJY will always strive for academic excellence and option for the poor, and produce graduates that have the spirit and courage in becoming “Men and Women for Others”.
