The University of Constantine 2 was created by Executive Decree No. 11-401 of November 28, 2011.
The university is composed of 04 faculties and 02 institutes:
Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, Faculty of New Information and Communication Technologies, Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences, Institute of Library Science, and Institute of Science and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities. UC2 also provides academic and non-academic facilities and services to students, including a library, and administrative services.
The Abdelhamid Mehri University - Constantine 2 has today more than 16363 students spread over 6 faculties and institutes, considered as the oldest in Algeria and supervised by 681 permanent teachers.
With four major fields of teaching and research (Economic Sciences of Management and Commerce, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, and Sciences and Technologies of Physical and Sports Activities), the Abdelhamid Mehri University - Constantine 2 offers several training courses corresponding to contemporary research issues and the needs of the job market.
The various courses offered by the university are part of the LMD (Licence Master Doctorat) scheme. Structured around the credit system (ECTS) and on an organization of training in semesters and teaching units (UE), the LMD is a common architecture of training based on three university degrees, validated by three national diplomas recognized internationally.
The University Constantine 2 also offers training courses specifically designed and arranged for a public under the continuing education.
