Education is crucial factor in developing countries .It us even more important for Iraq and Iraqi society, especially after the change in 2003. In Islam , Education is highly encouraged and learners have better appreciation according to the divine law. University of Alkafeel in AL-Najaf City established to contribute to the building of the infrastructure of Iraq, contributing to all human beings and making the change in the process of community development. Its purpose is reflected in learning, teaching and research . This is to be achieved by providing a stimulating academic environment for the capacities and qualified teaching staff. We adopt the curricula that meet the requirements of the labor market and match the cultural and the profound religious heritage of AL-Najaf City. We aim to benefit from the new atmosphere in Iraq which encourages educational institutions and supports freedom of knowledge and thinking.

As nation-building is based on the degrees of education and knowledge in which the result will be both maintaining a commendable behavior ,and keeping the high morality. Thus, taking care of the educational institutions is always priority of Holy Shrine . The shrine in AL-Najaf City makes " Education" as one crucial mean to develop the society of Iraq. It is one important factor for our institution to consider how to transfer theory into practice through the construction of a variety of educational institutions. We have started with kindergartens, schools at various stages, and ending with university. It is contended that this scientific and educational statement cannot be a qualitative change to reality without the presence of competent systems of policy-making. The development of the means of implementation, evaluation and qualification & development , and obtaining the highest quality standards in management and education. Our goals been always to achieve a distinctive trace in the world of education. For this reason, the Holy Shrine has founded the Department of Teaching and Higher Education. The Holy shrine always try to cope with the all burdens mentioned above. In order for its strategic outputs to have operational mechanisms for all educational institutions, we cooperate all together as cohorts of the holy shrine . The University College for Humanities is one of the official ports to achieve these desired goals of this policy of Al- Abbas Holy Shrine. So that it works on mission outputs with high professional capabilities and efficient industry, competition in the field of humanity . We aim to make the great contribution in building the country . We strongly believe in paving the long path of development of our country and work hard to achieve this goal.
