Available programs

Our suite of flexible undergraduate programmes encompass all areas of business and they have been developed in consultation with industry partners and professional accreditation bodies to remain cutting-edge and ensure you stand out from the crowd. 

With all our degree programmes you have the opportunity to add a year abroad. Studying or working abroad gives you great experience of international cultures, values and languages which can enhance your professional skill set.

You can also choose to spend a year gaining industrial experience. This allows you to put into practice some of the things you have learnt on your course, gain employment experience and give you extra confidence when you set out to find your first graduate role. Many graduate employers now use industrial placements as a pathway to permanent roles, so you may even get a graduate job offer from your placement provider. 

We also offer students the opportunity to build entrepreneurial or leadership skills with our unique ‘With Proficiency in Entrepreneurship’ or ‘With Proficiency in Leadership’ degree pathways.

On the Streatham Campus in Exeter, the Business School spans multiple buildings, all near each other. We pride ourselves on our professional, flexible learning environment and our creative spaces demonstrate our commitment to providing a world-class entrepreneurship business education.  

Building:One is home to our Student and Education Services help desk which deals with all course-related student enquires, as well as general support and advice. It is also home to our MBA suite, La Touche cafe, and a number of modern teaching rooms and lecture theatres.

Connected to Building:One is the Xfi Building which houses the Henderson Lecture Theatre along with a range of conference rooms and the School’s Bloomberg Suite, a specialist IT room for detailed financial market data. Nearby is Streatham Court where you will find the Business School’s Career Zone and the Finance and Economics Experimental Laboratory at Exeter (FEELE), a state-of-the-art laboratory for research in Experimental Economics. It also houses the Student IT Suite, equipped with specialist software.

The newest addition to the Business School is the Creative Quadrant (CQ). A versatile and dynamic space designed for creative learning. Playful by design, the CQ prioritises the use of interactive, hands-on processes to foster interdisciplinary problem-solving, iterative innovation, and thinking through practical application.

On the Penryn Campus, the Business School is based in the Science and Engineering Research Support Facility (SERSF) building. Within the SERSF building is a specially designed area for business engagement called ‘The Collaboratory’, from which dedicated staff, along with the University’s Knowledge Exchange team, lead a number of long-term research projects with selected local business partners.  

Student life

Your experience at university is about much more than just studying. Societies, sports, student media and nightlife are just some of the activities that people talk about most enthusiastically. Depending on your choice of degree, you may be based at our Streatham Campus in Exeter, or at our Penryn Campus in Cornwall. Both locations offer green campuses in some of the most beautiful parts of the country.

Whichever of our campuses you study at, you’ll have lots of opportunities to try new things, develop existing hobbies and skills, or do more of what you love. Your university experience can be anything you want it to be.

Accommodation

Students’ Unions

The students’ unions in Exeter and Penryn provide elective student representatives who champion students and drive change. The unions also organise events and entertainment, societies and groups, and offer advice and support whilst you are a student. 

At our Exeter campuses you will find the Exeter Students’ Guild and at our Cornwall campuses there is The Falmouth and Exeter Students’ Union. You are automatically a member of one of these the moment you register as a student, so make sure you take advantage of all the opportunities on offer.  

Clubs and societies 

Our student-led societies bring together students with similar interests as well as provide opportunities to try something new and different. We have more than 400 societies that you can get involved with. If there’s a society you want that we don’t have, we’ll help you set it up. Sport 

Sport is an important part of the student experience, and we believe sport and wellness should be embedded in student life. We are renowned for our sporting reputation and we pride ourselves on inclusivity – catering for all abilities from casual sports enthusiasts to high performance athletes. Our superb facilities allow us to offer a large variety of participation opportunities for all students.   

We’re the number one sports university in the south of England and Wales, and we frequently finish top 5 in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) rankings each year. Our sports clubs and fitness classes offer something for everyone.
