The University of Ha'il is located in Ha’il city in north west Saudi Arabia.

The University is actively engaged in serving the local community through numerous community partnerships. All faculty members at the University are required to demonstrate active community service. The deanship of community service offers numerous life-long and continuing education programs and services that cater to the local community.  

University of Ha'il (UoH) has 14 colleges that offer 51 undergraduate programs and 32 postgraduate programs. 

All science, engineering, Business, medical and health science programs are taught in English. Programs in the college of education, Sharia and Law, as well as the college of Arts (except the English literature program) are taught in Arabic.

The University of Ha'il’s main campus is in the city of Ha'il but there are seven sites in cities across the Ha'il region.

The College of Engineering recently moved to a state-of-the-art building with research labs and engineering workshops equipped with cutting-edge technologies.

Colleges in the health and medical fields enjoy outstanding research and learning facilities students learn applied skills and researchers to conduct world-class research including the ‘molecular diagnostic unit’, radiology labs, dentistry simulation labs, in addition to a wide range of labs and workshops. The university is also in the process of building a central science research lab designed to support cutting-edge research.   

Students enjoy access to a central library and each college has its own library and dedicated study areas equipped with an ample number of computers to cater for its students. Students at UoH are also offered on-campus accommodation and access to sporting facilities, sport fields, and spaces for extracurricular activities.  

The university offers an all-electronic academic guidance system where students are paired with an academic advisor. 

All students have access to counselling and support service through the students affairs deanship. This service is designed to help students overcome social, psychological or physical obstacles that might stand in their way to success. 

The Deanship of Student Affairs and its Guidance Center offers an academic support program for underachieving students through support plans including training, support, and tutoring. The university provides support programs such as the ‘help me’ program through which students can access support to help them overcome difficulties that might impede their learning and self-actualization. 

The university also offers financial support to all students in the form of monthly stipends. Also, there are opportunities to secure interest-free loans through the student fund program.

The Deanship of Student Affairs offers numerous extracurricular activities to enrich students’ lives while at the UoH.

The deanship runs sports tournaments for all levels in various sports and offers volunteer work opportunities in liaison with local organizations. There are student clubs in various areas that facilitate meeting like-minded people and help students actualize their potential. 

There are about 1334 international students representing 38 nationalities.

Some popular extracurricular activities at UOH include soccer tournaments, camping, and sand surfing. 

Students live both on and off campus, but the university usually prioritizes accommodation for international students.

Within six to 12 months of graduation:

•100 percent of nursing program graduates secure employment or continue further study

•As do 87 percent of accounting program graduates

•70 percent of engineering graduates

•60 percent of computer sciences as well as management information systems graduates


The University offers career support services for all students through the Alumni support office, which is an administrative unit responsible for supporting our nearing graduation or graduating students find jobs and exploring their opportunities after graduation.
