University of Health Sciences, Lahore

University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore, Pakistan was established in 2002 as the largest public sector medical university of Pakistan. The vision of the university is aligned with the provision of instruction and dissemination of knowledge, advancement of research, holding of examination, award of degrees, diplomas, professional courses and establishment of institutes, colleges, centers of learning and centre of excellence in research.

Presently it has two campuses; City Campus in Lahore and Jinnah Campus at Kala Shah Kaku. It has 140 (49 Public Sector, 91 Private Sector) affiliated Institutes with two constituent colleges (Gujranwala Medical College, Gujranwala and Nawaz Sharif Medical College, Gujrat).

UHS is offering >100 undergraduates (MBBS, BDS, BSc Hons., Pharm-D, DPT) and postgraduate schemes of programmes (M.Phil, MSc, MS, MD, MDS, PG Diplomas) in different disciplines and specialties. 

Presently there are 141,421 undergraduate and >10,000 postgraduate students registered with total number of Alumni (2003-2024) exceeding 75000. 

It is one of the largest medical examination body of Pakistan with annual 755 examinations conducted. 

The university is dedicated to providing high-quality instruction and research facilities in Basic Medical Sciences, Clinical sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical therapy, Allied Health Sciences with advancing innovative courses in Medical Education, Molecualar Biology, translational medicine, Behavioral Sciences, Medical Journalism, Cadaveric Transplantation, Public health & field epidemiology, Health Informatics, Emergency Medicine, Reproductive Medicine etc.

In addition, the University is self sustainable by generating funds from its degree programmes, national and international developmental and non-developmental fundings and recurring research grants. 

It has established national and international collaborations with >100 universities and institutes for students and faculty exchange programmes.
