Overview

For more than 100 years, The University of Law has been a specialist provider of legal education and training since the establishment of the leading tutorial firm, Gibson and Weldon in 1876.

We welcome students from all around the world to our 12 UK-based campuses and international campus in Hong Kong, and offer an extensive range of campus-based degrees and online degrees which are designed with both practical and professional skill development in mind. We offer 21st century relevant law and business bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, graduate diplomas, and postgraduate diplomas where the majority of programs are taught by qualified and practiced solicitors, barristers, judges and lawyers who all bring their own wealth of knowledge and experience into the classroom.

Also based in our London Bloomsbury campus is The University of Law Business School, which merges business experience and practice with academia and theory through customized, experiential and interactive learning. As of 2019, courses will be offered at The University of Law campuses in Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.

In 2017, we were awarded gold ranking in the Government-led Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), establishing ourselves as one of the highest quality providers of higher education in the UK for undergraduate students. Our rich heritage and reputation for innovation and contemporary teaching practices means that we’ve trained more practicing lawyers in the UK than any other establishment, whilst our 64,000 strong alumni network offers current students exceptional networking opportunities.
