About University of Sabratha
Sabratha University is one of the government universities in the State of Libya, and its administrative headquarters is in the city of Sabratha. It originally consists of a group of colleges, some of which date back to the founding of 1992 AD. Since their founding, these colleges were affiliated with Zawiya University until the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (157) of 2015 was issued. The ruling stipulates the establishment of Sabratha University, separating these colleges from Al-Zawiya University, and determining their affiliation to Sabratha University. The number of university colleges currently stands at (23) colleges distributed among the regions: (Sabratha -Sorman - Al-Jamil - Zaltan - Raqdalin).
The number of faculty members at the university is (1,383), the number of teaching assistants is (505), the number of employees is more than (1,868), and the number of students is approximately (14,037) male and female students.
The university strives to pay attention to the human element and raise the level of the student scientifically, cognitively and morally so that they can contribute to raising a new generation characterized by knowledge and morals. It also seeks to achieve educational and professional quality to build scientifically qualified cadres who are aware of the changes of the times and fit for the labor market.
