If you are passionate about people, then our Bachelor of Human Services (Child and Family Studies) will put you on the right path to working with your community. Combining a range of courses in psychology, education and counselling, you will examine the issues that impact families and children within our society. This degree involves theory, field practicum, as well as work experience in a human services agency of your choice, providing you with the broad knowledge base and skill set needed to work in this field. This degree will provide you with a solid foundation to work in community organisations. You will be equipped to work in the government and public service sectors as well as in community organisations in a wide variety of roles.

USQ Toowoomba

Toowoomba is a welcoming
and thriving regional centre with a diverse economy, lower cost of living, and offering

Brisbane and just over two hours from the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.

The USQ Toowoomba campus

USQ
Springfield

Springfield is
located approximately 45 minutes from Brisbane city and is an hour to the Gold
Coast and 90 minutes to Toowoomba. With a population of over 26,000,
Springfield is one of the most dynamic urban growth areas in Queensland. USQ Springfield
campus provides a student-focussed educational environment with the latest in
program delivery and technology. With high-quality facilities such as a digital
production and performance hub and world-class Boeing 737-800 flight simulator
facility, we also have close industry ties to link students with work
experience opportunities. Our Springfield campus promotes a culture of
supporting the needs of each student and working with them to achieve their
goals.

USQ Ipswich

Ipswich is
located in South East Queensland, 55 minutes to Brisbane city, just over one
hour to the Gold Coast, and it is connect by public transport to domestic and
international airports. The city combines heritage charm with the benefits of a
modern, exciting metropolitan lifestyle. It’s Queensland's fastest growing
city, and also home to the youngest demographic in south-east Queensland.
Ipswich is a diverse and multicultural city, with residents from over 115
different cultural backgrounds. Home to USQ’s School of Health and Wellbeing, USQ Ipswich
includes custom-built paramedical training facilities and new clinical nursing
laboratories, sports fields, a café and a gym. USQ has been part of the Ipswich
community since 2006, and we now have over 1000 students on campus currently
studying Human Services, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Psychology, Sport
and Exercise, and Tertiary Preparation.
