The Bachelor of Science (Honours) gives you the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills in the specific discipline area that interests you. Building on your Bachelor of Science (Physical Sciences) degree, you will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge through research. You will conduct, and report on, a research project under the supervision of a staff member with the appropriate expertise. The Honours program will give you an appreciation of the professional standards required of the practising scientist, and the ethical challenges presented by modern science and technology. You will also participate in research teams, be introduced to advanced experimental and literature research methods, and have opportunities to make contact with the wider scientific community in the local region, elsewhere in Australia and overseas.

USQ Toowoomba

Toowoomba is a welcoming

The USQ Toowoomba campus

Ipswich is
located in South East Queensland, 55 minutes to Brisbane city, just over one
hour to the Gold Coast, and it is connect by public transport to domestic and
international airports. The city combines heritage charm with the benefits of a
modern, exciting metropolitan lifestyle. It’s Queensland's fastest growing
city, and also home to the youngest demographic in south-east Queensland.
Ipswich is a diverse and multicultural city, with residents from over 115
different cultural backgrounds. Home to USQ’s School of Health and Wellbeing, USQ Ipswich
includes custom-built paramedical training facilities and new clinical nursing
laboratories, sports fields, a café and a gym. USQ has been part of the Ipswich
community since 2006, and we now have over 1000 students on campus currently
studying Human Services, Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Psychology, Sport
and Exercise, and Tertiary Preparation.
