Entry requirements vary depending on the course and level of study. Applicants should hold academic qualifications equivalent to UK entry requirements. International students whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency.
Applications for undergraduate courses are usually submitted through UCAS, while many postgraduate applications can be made directly through University of Staffordshire’s online application portal.
Applicants may be required to submit supporting documents such as academic transcripts, personal statements or portfolios depending on the course. Some programmes may also require interviews or additional assessments.
Once an application has been reviewed, successful applicants will receive either a conditional or unconditional offer. International students who accept an offer and meet all conditions will be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to support their UK Student Visa application.

At the Stoke-on-Trent campus, many courses use immersive environments that replicate real-world settings. These include simulation hospital wards, mock courtrooms, forensic investigation spaces and crime scene houses, allowing students to practise their skills in realistic scenarios.
Creative and technology focused courses are supported by specialist facilities including motion capture studios, virtual production suites and SmartZone, where students can develop prototypes using advanced equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters and virtual reality technology.
At the Stafford campus, students studying health related subjects train in advanced clinical simulation facilities within the Centre for Health Innovation.
The London campus at Here East provides specialist facilities for digital and creative subjects. Students studying games and computing have access to dedicated games development labs, high performance workstations and a gaming arena where projects can be tested and showcased.

University information
University of Staffordshire welcomes applications from students around the world for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
Entry requirements vary depending on the course and level of study. Applicants should hold academic qualifications equivalent to UK entry requirements. International students whose first language is not English must also demonstrate English language proficiency.
Applications for undergraduate courses are usually submitted through UCAS, while many postgraduate applications can be made directly through University of Staffordshire’s online application portal.
Applicants may be required to submit supporting documents such as academic transcripts, personal statements or portfolios depending on the course. Some programmes may also require interviews or additional assessments.
Once an application has been reviewed, successful applicants will receive either a conditional or unconditional offer. International students who accept an offer and meet all conditions will be issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) to support their UK Student Visa application.

At the Stoke-on-Trent campus, many courses use immersive environments that replicate real-world settings. These include simulation hospital wards, mock courtrooms, forensic investigation spaces and crime scene houses, allowing students to practise their skills in realistic scenarios.
Creative and technology focused courses are supported by specialist facilities including motion capture studios, virtual production suites and SmartZone, where students can develop prototypes using advanced equipment such as 3D printers, laser cutters and virtual reality technology.
At the Stafford campus, students studying health related subjects train in advanced clinical simulation facilities within the Centre for Health Innovation.
The London campus at Here East provides specialist facilities for digital and creative subjects. Students studying games and computing have access to dedicated games development labs, high performance workstations and a gaming arena where projects can be tested and showcased.
These facilities allow students to gain practical experience using the technologies and environments they may encounter in their future careers.
Student life
Student life at University of Staffordshire combines a welcoming campus community with opportunities to explore the wider city and region.
The Stoke-on-Trent campus has a strong student community with social spaces, sports facilities and a range of support services. Students can also get involved in activities through Staffordshire University Students’ Union, which organises events, campaigns and societies throughout the year.

A new Student Village is opening in September 2026, creating a residential community at the heart of the Stoke-on-Trent campus. The village will provide modern accommodation alongside social and wellbeing spaces designed to support student life.
Stoke-on-Trent offers restaurants, entertainment venues, green spaces and cultural attractions. Its central location also makes it easy for students to travel to other UK cities including Manchester, Birmingham and London.
