Strathclyde University has been recognized in the 2018 edition of the QS World University Rankings: Business Master's Rankings. The university's business school offers an extensive range of finance, management and business analytics degrees. Students on the finance program study a balanced mix of theory and practical skills and gain an appreciation of the nature and functioning of financial markets and institutions. Applicants must have an honors degree in accounting, economics, business studies or a similar subject, but a prior knowledge of finance isn't necessary. International students may need to pass an English language test and take a pre-masters course if they haven't reached a sufficient level of education. The university is also recognized for its Business Analytics and Consulting degree, a program designed to prepare you to work as a manager or consultant, influencing and developing strategy at a major organization. The program has an apprenticeship scheme, in which students spend three weeks in January working within the analytical department of an external company. This course can also be done through distance learning.
