About University of Tabuk
The University of Tabuk was established in 2006 (1427H) by Royal approval issued under the honorable telegram No. (3514/M B) dated 3/5/1427H (30/5/2006G), in the city of Tabuk, located in the northwestern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to serve as a leading public higher education institution in the area. The university plays a pivotal role in preparing qualified national cadres, supporting educational and knowledge-based development, and contributing to the service of the local and regional community. Its establishment came within the framework of the strategic expansion of the higher education system in the Kingdom and the strengthening of universities' role in regional development and the knowledge economy, in line with national directions to build a competitive and sustainable knowledge society.
Since its foundation, the university has witnessed rapid growth in its academic and research systems, along with a gradual expansion of its educational and technological infrastructure, reflecting its institutional development and capacity to respond to national development needs and the accelerating transformations in the higher education sector. This growth has coincided with the university’s continuous efforts to align its academic programs, research initiatives, and operational plans with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in improving the quality of education and learning, developing human capabilities, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, activating its role in community service, and building effective developmental partnerships, thereby contributing to sustainable development and enhancing its competitiveness at both national and international levels.
