B. Sc. - History & Politics (3+1 years)

The School of Liberal Studies (SoLS) offers a flagship B.Sc. research Hons. programme in History and Politics, which provides students with a thorough grounding in the core disciplines of Political Science and History. Graduates of this B.Sc. programme will double major in Political Science and History and have the option of completing a minor in Economics with Data Science, and another minor in Environmental Sciences.
In this unique transdisciplinary programme, SoLS faculty draw upon the complementarities of Political Science, History, and International Relations, towards shaping an enriching and coherent global programme. The programme, individual courses, and curriculum design are commensurate with those practised in International BA/B.Sc. History and Politics programmes. The faculty deploys intersectional methodologies drawing upon these knowledge systems. The B.Sc. programme prepares students to think creatively about the ideas of social justice, identify problems, and provide innovative solutions, while keeping them grounded, in this rapidly changing world.
Students will be taught by some of the most eminent academics in the world who have global standing in their subjects. Teachers in the B.Sc. History and Politics programmes have been trained in the leading universities of the world and are specialists in the focus areas of History, Political Science and International Relations.
