Bachelor of Accounting (Financial Planning)

Bachelor of Accounting (Financial Planning)

Understand how to think creatively, apply innovative solutions to everyday problems and develop trusting, long-lasting business relationships. This course provides you with in-depth knowledge of accounting, supported by knowledge of associated disciplines of law, economics, finance and statistics. The Bachelor of Accounting holds triple accreditation with CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ), and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Depending on your majors, you’ll also be eligible to become a member of the Financial Planning Association or register with the Tax Practitioners Board as a tax agent. The specialised units in this major analyse contemporary issues relevant to financial planning using case studies and discussion. Completion of this major meets the RG146 generic knowledge requirements, specialist knowledge requirements and skills requirements as they currently stand. Whilst it is not compulsory to complete the taxation specialisation, students are encouraged to complete these units as content builds on that covered in the financial planning specialisation.
