This year’s ranking of the top Arab universities features 130 institutions, making it our biggest one yet. While there are no new entries into the top 10, there is a new university at number one with King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Saudi Arabia improving on last year’s third place finish.

It’s one of three Saudi Arabian universities in the top 20, all three of which feature in the ranking’s top six. There’s just one new face in the top 20 - Zayed University - which has climbed two places to 20th.
