Stanford Universityhas climbed three places this year to become the home of the best full-time MBA program in the world. It achieved a perfect score for the entrepreneurship & alumni outcomes indicator, a metric which is particularly significant given the growing demand from students for MBA programs to incorporate entrepreneurial elements.
Below Stanford, a further five of the top 10 are also based in the US, but there are plenty of success stories elsewhere that deserve attention. London Business Schoolis the highest-ranked European institution, while France and Spain are also represented in the top 10.
As well as providing insights into the top MBA programs, this year’s rankings also allowed us to collect information on the typical MBA student. Based on the schools which provided data for this year’s rankings, the average MBA student is 29 years old, has 5.6 years’ work experience and has a pre-MBA salary of US$46,974. This then rises after graduation to US$83,186.
