The degree course in Humanities offers an interdisciplinary training aimed at the different needs of contemporary social reality and based on a critical knowledge of the cultural products of humanity, in the various periods of its history.
The basic, characterizing and related disciplines envisaged, which, together with the practical and laboratory activities, contribute to the realization of the training objectives, belong to the following four learning areas:
  • classical and modern literatures
  • linguistic-philological and communication disciplines
  • historical, geographical and social disciplines;
  • disciplines of visual and performing arts.

The course is structured in two curricula.
The curriculum Linguistic, literary and historical studies,  with a significant presence of linguistic-philological, literary and historical disciplines, aims at the acquisition of skills necessary for professional activities in the sector of communication, services and cultural production. The curriculum Modern literature, arts, entertainment, with a significant presence of historical-artistic and entertainment disciplines, sociology of communication and modern languages ​​and cultures, also from non-European areas, aims at a general methodological training for work activities related to cultural tourism, event planning, enhancement of the artistic heritage and environmental. The course guarantees mastery of the Italian language, good knowledge of a foreign language and the ability to use IT tools for operational areas in the sectors of competence. In relation to the objectives of the course, the organization, in agreement with public and private bodies, of internships and apprenticeships useful for the achievement of University Training Credits ("Other training activities") is envisaged.
