Today, UCSI University offers more than 150 programmes in Engineering, Business , Computing , Medicine , Pharmacy , Hospitality , Applied Sciences , Actuarial Science , Social Sciences , Architecture , Music , and Arts and Design , in the levels of PhD, Doctorate, Master , Degree and Diploma . 

UCSI University received a prestigious award for  "QS Recognition for Improvement"   from QS World University Rankings 2023, establishing it as the first and only in the world to be bestowed with such an honour and for showcasing the most improved university in rankings, on average, climbing 63 spots to be ranked 284th, and placing it among the world’s top 300 universities.

UCSI University continues to be ranked among the top 0.9% of the world’s universities and is in the 6th position among all Malaysian universities . The university is now ranked highest within the private university sector in the country.

UCSI University moved 28 spots to be ranked 77 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2022. Since the year 2018’s exercise, the university has leapt 135 spots, placing it among Asia’s top 80 varsities. 
In addition, all UCSI University’s programmes have received a 100% employability score from the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry’s Graduate Employability 2021 survey, making UCSI University graduates highly employable.

Committed to the pursuit of knowledge, UCSI students are annually selected by the world’s best universities like Harvard, Imperial College London, the University of Chicago, and Tsinghua, among others, to advance high-impact research. Its alumni have also achieved greatly, making the Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and standing out as some of Malaysia’s leading entrepreneurs, community organisers, artists, and performers. Available programs

UCSI offers over 100 programmes in various fields. Presently, programmes offered ranges from medicine, social sciences, music, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, applied sciences, business, architecture and built environment, creative arts and design, hospitality and tourism, and information technology.

There 11 faculties and specific centres for English Language, and Pre-U studies. Periodically, the University revises and revamps its course structures and programmes, including introducing new and relevant programmes to meet the demands of the future workforce.

This is evident with the introduction of programmes such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

As a Praxis University® that emphasises the application of knowledge, UCSI has its finger on the industry’s pulse. The University’s abiding ties with the industry foster an entrepreneurial spirit on campus, encouraging students and staff to launch their own start-ups and business ventures. Incubator sessions are also held regularly to test and refine business ideas. No stone is left unturned and many UCSI students are now making a name for themselves as entrepreneurs and seed planters.

  In July 2021, the University kicked off the Artists-in-Residence (AiR) programme where industry players were invited to be with UCSI for a period to provide insightful talks and workshops to students alike.

The programme aims to welcome established and emerging artists from various industries to engage closely with UCSI’s academics and students through scholarly activities.

Additionally, UCSI enjoys numerous partnerships with reputable universities around the world giving students the opportunities to experience the diverse culture of studying abroad in a different setting. These links empower UCSI students with options to gain international experiences at the following universities through semester abroad or articulation programmes.

UCSI constantly hosts some of the world’s most influential minds in science and the liberal arts such as Harvard’s Professor Gordon Harold Williams, former Visiting Professor at King’s College London Dr N. Sreeharan, Professor of European Public Health’s Martin McKee, and many more.

Postgraduate teaching at UCSI is delivered in a multi-mode format for full-time and part-time students. Programmes are either research or coursework-based and students are required to complete a range of core and optional courses that are supported by lectures and seminars during their course of study.

Performance in research-based programmes is evaluated by findings, the way results influence fundamental knowledge and the impact factor of one’s research. Students who opt for the coursework-based route are generally assessed through a combination of assignments, written exams and dissertations.

Presently, UCSI is home to 8 Fellows of Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the number of Scopus/ISI publications tripled from 2015 (151) to 2020 (464).
