UCSI offers over 100 programmes in various fields. Presently, programmes offered ranges from medicine, social sciences, music, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, applied sciences, business, architecture and built environment, creative arts and design, hospitality and tourism, and information technology.

There 11 faculties and specific centres for English Language, and Pre-U studies. Periodically, the University revises and revamps its course structures and programmes, including introducing new and relevant programmes to meet the demands of the future workforce.

This is evident with the introduction of programmes such as Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

Additionally, UCSI enjoys numerous partnerships with reputable universities around the world giving students the opportunities to experience the diverse culture of studying abroad in a different setting. These links empower UCSI students with options to gain international experiences at the following universities through semester abroad or articulation programmes.

UCSI constantly hosts some of the world’s most influential minds in science and the liberal arts such as Harvard’s Professor Gordon Harold Williams, former Visiting Professor at King’s College London Dr N. Sreeharan, Professor of European Public Health’s Martin McKee, and many more.

Postgraduate teaching at UCSI is delivered in a multi-mode format for full-time and part-time students. Programmes are either research or coursework-based and students are required to complete a range of core and optional courses that are supported by lectures and seminars during their course of study.

Performance in research-based programmes is evaluated by findings, the way results influence fundamental knowledge and the impact factor of one’s research. Students who opt for the coursework-based route are generally assessed through a combination of assignments, written exams and dissertations.

Presently, UCSI is home to 8 Fellows of Academy of Sciences Malaysia and the number of Scopus/ISI publications tripled from 2015 (151) to 2020 (464).
