City Life

Based in the North West of the UK, Chester is well connected to the rest of the UK, being less than an hour from Manchester and Liverpool, and a two-hour direct train journey to London.

One of eight world-famous British Heritage cities, Chester is a bustling 21st-century city. Known for its friendly locals and vibrant community spirit, the city offers modern standards of living with a rich history and culture. The city is surrounded by ancient Roman walls and is home to the Chester Cathedral, the historic Eastgate Clock, and a Roman Amphitheatre.

The ancient Roman walls still surround Chester’s city centre, which along with the renowned Cathedral, Eastgate Clock, and Roman Amphitheatre, demonstrate its 2,000-year-old heritage. On the outskirts of the city, you’ll also find the world-famous Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks, the largest retail outlet in the UK.

Scholarships

The University of Chester offers generous international and merit-based scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate study, providing a significant reduction to the published headline tuition fees. International applicants will automatically be considered for these scholarships when their application is reviewed, and any award given will be shown on their offer letter.
