Study in Daejeon

Although not as well-known as capital city Seoul, South Korea’s fifth-largest metropolis has grown from humble origins to become a major science and research centre, known for its focus on innovation. Daejeon is home to several of the leading universities in South Korea, including KAIST – Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

Nearby are the National Science Museum and Daedeok Science Town – a site devoted to the research and development of more than 200 institutes (including LG and Samsung), which is known as the ‘brain’ of South Korea.

Away from all the science, the Yuseong Hot Springs in the city centre can help if you need to unwind, and the city is also a short distance from the Daecheong Dam.
