Our two-year consecutive program integrates on-campus classes with 80 to 110 days of classroom observation and teaching. This program is for candidates with an existing degree. Functional knowledge include understanding in detail the structure and organization of school systemsSpeaking to a live audience and engaging with youth from Kindergarten to grade 12; making appropriate curricular accommodations and modifications to provide adequate learning opportunities to students with exceptional learning profiles; designing and executing creative, engaging, and time-managed original lesson plans that successfully address given learning outcomes; exercising emotional intelligence to intuitively provide appropriate support for students when required; and understanding and applying best practices for equity and diversity in the classroom, being sensitive to relevant legislation and board policies.
