Frequently Asked Questions

The ESSEC MSc in Sustainability Transformation is an intensive, one-year program starting in late August. It begins with a one-month immersion in management fundamentals shared across all Master programs. From October to December, the first semester builds an interdisciplinary double competence bridging management and sustainable development. Between January and June, the second semester delivers advanced expertise through specialized tracks. Finally, the program concludes with hands-on professional application, combining learning expeditions, a professional thesis, and a 4-to-6-month internship.
Equipped with a high-value strategic double competence, graduates can secure key roles across corporations, consulting firms, NGOs, and international organizations. They are able to step into high-impact positions such as ESG or Climate Consultant, Sustainability/CSR Manager, Sustainable Finance Analyst, Circular Economy / Carbon Footprint Project Manager, or Social Entrepreneur.
The program is open to candidates with a recognized 4-year Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) or higher, as well as applicants with at least five years of professional experience on an exceptional basis. Admissions take place across four rounds running until May. Candidates first submit an online application file with their CV, transcripts, recommendation letters, and English test scores. Shortlisted applicants are then invited to an individual interview to evaluate their career project and motivation before final admission.
