The BA (Hons) Music Performance and Industry will enable you to develop your artistry and the knowledge essential for forging a sustainable career in the popular music industry.
You will be immersed in collaborative music-making and production, in an environment that celebrates difference and where you will not be bound by genre. Learning from esteemed industry professionals, with one-to-one tuition and group classes, and collaborating with students from across Trinity Laban, you will define your distinct creative voice.
Alongside skills in performance, production and songwriting, you will develop a forward-thinking and socially engaged approach to your work. This will in turn enable you to situate your music within contemporary contexts.
Business skills are key for connecting your music with audiences and monetising your work. You will cover copyright, publishing, licensing and identifying your audience, and gain experience marketing and releasing your music.

Admission Requirements
We are looking for people who show talent and originality in performance and production, who can apply technique and a display a desire to learn.
You can produce music in any genre and perform on any instrument or voice, and we welcome applications from those who have not experienced traditional routes into higher education. We celebrate musical difference and believe in the strength of diverse perspectives within our artforms.
You are normally expected to have one of the following options below:
- Two A-level passes (of which one should normally be Music) or equivalent qualifications
- BTEC Extended Diploma at levels MMM or BTEC Level 3 Diploma at D*D*
- Relevant prior experience may also be considered.
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
