The Qur’anic Studies and Exegesis Study Program at UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto focuses on the comprehensive, critical, and contextual study of the Qur’an and its interpretation. Its principal areas of study include Qur’anic sciences, classical and contemporary exegesis, methodologies of interpretation, thematic exegesis, Qur’anic hermeneutics, manuscript studies, the living Qur’an, and the application of Qur’anic values to contemporary religious, social, cultural, educational, and environmental issues. By integrating classical Islamic scholarship, interdisciplinary research methods, local wisdom, and the Indonesian socio-cultural context, the program prepares graduates to become competent, moderate, ethical, and responsive Qur’anic scholars, researchers, educators, religious counselors, and practitioners capable of producing academically sound and contextually relevant interpretations of the Qur’an.
