The Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) provides institutionally funded merit-based scholarships and need-based stipends for undergraduate and postgraduate students under its Scholarship & Stipend Policy-2022. Each year MIST allocates approximately BDT 70,00,000 (≈ USD 57,378) for student financial aid, of which BDT 50,00,000 is dedicated to academic scholarships and BDT 20,00,000 to need-based stipends. Merit scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, class position, GPA, and special achievements including national and international competitions, while stipends are provided to financially disadvantaged but meritorious students. Selection is conducted through a formal committee and includes verification of academic records and financial status. These schemes ensure equitable access to education and promote high academic performance across all engineering and technology disciplines at MIST.
