Essay brief
• Application & Selection
The process should begin with the civil society organizations referring or co-nominating candidates based on mutually agreed criteria (e.g., academic merit, financial need, specific program interest). These nominated students will then complete the standard university application for their chosen program. A dedicated scholarship committee will review these applications, considering both the partner's recommendation and the university's academic standards. While extensive interviews may not be required for partial scholarships, a final internal review ensures candidates meet all criteria. Successful candidates receive official partial scholarship offer letters, detailing the 50% tuition reduction and any other conditions. The collaborating civil society organizations are also formally informed of their nominated students' acceptance.
• III. Scholarship Management & Reporting
Upon acceptance, ensure seamless enrollment and registration for partial scholarship recipients, with the university's finance department accurately applying the 50% tuition fee waiver to their accounts. Monitor the academic progress of these students, ensuring they maintain satisfactory performance to retain their scholarship. Crucially, establish a robust reporting mechanism to the partner civil society organizations. This includes regular updates on student enrollment, academic standing, and the overall impact of their contribution, reinforcing the value of the partnership. Periodically review the program's effectiveness with civil society partners to identify improvements and ensure continued alignment with shared goals.

What is the difference between institution-funded and QS ImpACT scholarships?
Institution-funded scholarships are exclusively backed by the institution itself. This implies that scholarship recipients need to secure acceptance for their studies at the said institution in order to qualify. It's essential to note that each scholarship comes with its own set of eligibility criteria and prerequisites. On the other hand, QS ImpACT Scholarships mark a collaborative effort between the ImpACT charity organization and QS. These scholarships present a unique advantage – they allow candidates to be considered regardless of the institution they choose for their studies, as long as they meet the appropriate study-level requirements. To delve deeper into the eligibility criteria associated with these scholarships, we invite you to explore the relevant scholarship details.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes, you can apply for as many scholarships as you wish. Just make sure that you meet the eligibility criteria and follow the application process for each.
Who evaluates my application and who will announce the winner?
Scholarships by institutions are managed by the school, university or collage offering the scholarship and the winner will also be announced by them. QS ImpACT Scholarships are managed by us here at QS and we’ll announce the winner.
