Aquaculture Study Program

The Aquaculture Bachelor's Program offered by the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Natural Sciences (FIKKIA) at Universitas Airlangga aspires to establish itself as an autonomous, inventive, and nationally as well as internationally acclaimed academic pursuit, renowned for its exceptional grasp of aquaculture. The program's essence is deeply rooted in local potential, with a pronounced emphasis on fish health and the ecological aspects of aquatic environments, all guided by ethical and moral principles. Graduates of this program are poised to assume multifaceted roles, including educators and catalysts for aquaculture advancement (lecturers), dedicated researchers, adept managers of fish cultivation and aquaculture enterprises, enterprising entrepreneurs, proficient laboratory technicians, skilled technical personnel, and vigilant supervisors. The curriculum offers five distinct specialization options: nutrition and feeding, aquaculture biotechnology, aquatic environment, genetics and reproduction, and fish health. This comprehensive array of choices enables students to tailor their learning journey to their specific interests and ambitions within the dynamic domain of aquaculture.
