About Al-Esraa University
Al-Esraa University was established as a scientific and academic structure to join the scholastic march in Iraq, with permission and recognition from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as stated in a letter dated February 21, 2013 (JH/1018) from the Ministry. In its first year, the college inaugurated five scientific departments, which were increased to 11, then 21 recognized departments; after becoming 38 departments, the college obtained approval for its conversion to a university in 2023 by Ministerial Order dated April 12, 2023. Its distinct geographical location, structure, facilities, study halls, laboratories, and specialized studios provide our students with the ideal scientific, cognitive, and skill-based environment. It has endeavored to expand its buildings and facilities in a manner consistent with its capacity to accept a variety of disciplines, accommodate as many students as feasible, and create an environment and space comparable to that of safety in Iraqi and Arab universities. The university also aims to introduce postgraduate studies in various colleges, supported by a batch of highly experienced and well-known professors of different specialties. This will undoubtedly enhance our university's scientific, epistemological, and skills standards. With its material, scientific, and human resources, Al-Esraa University is a significant asset that can be utilized to provide Iraqi state institutions with expertise and specialized skills in numerous scientific, applied, human, and social domains. The various disciplines offered by the colleges and departments of the university play a role in preparing students for national service and supporting our country's scientific and educational processes.
