The Engineering Technology program prepares students for careers as Engineer Technologist or Technician. The main focus is on ensuring that students comprehend the technology that underpins functional devices, as well as teaching them how to change and improve such technologies. It also prepares students for the workplace. The students must complete 60 credit hours (CH) in the first two years to acquire the Diploma of Petroleum Engineering. Upon completion of the Diploma program the students may continue and receive the Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering if they complete complementary 62 CH during additional two years of study. In other words, a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering graduate completes 122 CH in total.
