Located in the heart of the cosmopolitan German capital, in the lively district of Schöneberg, is Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI)

Home to leading global companies such as Deutsche Bahn, and Daimler, as well as attracting a number of local and international entrepreneurs, Berlin is considered Europe’s chief start-up hub. This is something which BSBI has taken into consideration and has gone on to establish a number of partnerships with start-ups in Berlin, so that students can benefit from these important corporate links.

    Berlin School of Business and Innovation has one modern campus located in central Berlin which boasts outstanding facilities and services: 

    Online support

    BSBI has integrated the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) into the heart of its teaching. As a BSBI student, you’ll be able to access a ‘Virtual’ room as either a duplicate or extension of your physical classroom. 

    On-campus wireless internet access

    BSBI students get full support from the moment they inquire, throughout their course and upon graduation.

    German language lessons

    Berlin School of Business and Innovation aims to support its students’ integration in Germany and offers students the opportunity to attend German languages classes for beginners completely free of charge. Despite Berlin being a very cosmopolitan capital where most people speak English, having knowledge of the German language can help increase your chances of employment upon graduation.

    WeWork is a start-up which provides entrepreneurs and professionals with the perfect office space to turn their business ideas into reality. Thanks to this strategic partnership, WeWork hosts some of BSBI’s job fairs, workshops and guest speaker events. 

    Mobike

    This collaboration with the world’s largest bicycle operator “for hire” will give BSBI students the great opportunity to meet Mobike recruiters and join their guest speaker events regarding start-up companies and entrepreneurship. Career opportunities at Mobike may also be a possibility for BSBI students.

    Moberries 

    Berlin School of Business and Innovation has established a strategic partnership with this online recruitment platform whose modus operandi is to directly refer students to potential employers, and support students in their job hunt. 

    H4 Hotels

    BSBI’s partnership with this four-star hotel provides MA in International Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management students the opportunity to undertake work placements and attend guest speaker events.

    Young Capital

    BSBI’s exciting new partnership with this online recruitment agency provides BSBI students with exclusive work placements offers, job coaching opportunities, and a range of guest lectures.

    FitX

    BSBI has partnered with this German-based gym provider, meaning BSBI students will receive a discount if they opt to join FitX’s monthly membership.

    Student lounge 

    With a recently refurbished student lounge adorned with innovative graffiti-like wallpaper designs, the student lounge is the perfect place to revise, chat, and chill. 

    Auditorium

    BSBI’s large auditorium is named ‘Reichstag’, after the renowned Parliament building in the capital, and is where main events and workshops take place. Pictures of different angles of this German landmark building decorate the auditorium giving it a contemporary arts vibe.

    Berlin’s gorgeous green areas, lively bars and restaurants, chic shopping districts, and cost of living make the city an ideal study destination for students from all over the world. Students can also take advantage of Schöneberg’s efficient and well-connected transport system. 


    Student accommodation

    Although students don’t live on campus, BSBI are happy to assist students with finding suitable accommodation in Berlin, depending on preference, and budget. 

    BSBI has two main accommodation partners, Spotahome and Uniplaces, which are both very easy to book online. 


    Spotahome

    Spotahome is a 100 percent online booking platform, featuring medium to long term home rentals in Europe. Staff visit properties to take professional photos, capture floor plans, and create high-definition video tours of inside the house and the neighborhood.

    Spotahome make it very easy to browse its wide range of properties with its mobile app, where prospective students can find their new home in just a few clicks. What’s more is that Spotahome’s multilingual customer service team are also on hand on to support you with every step of the application process.

    Uniplaces

    Uniplaces is another great online marketplace where prospective students can book their accommodation in Berlin. Uniplaces platform features a great amount of verified properties, ensuring that each student finds the ideal place for them. 

    The booking process is extremely simple, and bookings can be done months in advance. This means you’ll be able to focus on other commitments as your accommodation has already been sorted. 

    BSBI has partnered with Uniplaces as it’s a trusted, global accommodation platform with a focus on high-quality customer service and assistance.

    As a BSBI student, you’ll be offered a service fee discount for your accommodation in Berlin, as long as you show Spotahome, or Uniplaces your confirmation of study at Berlin School of Business and Innovation.

    When it comes to student life on campus, Berlin School of Business and Innovation is home to 37 nationalities with students coming from as far as New Zealand, Mexico, China, and South Africa.

    Throughout the academic year, BSBI hosts a number of extracurricular events for students to enjoy. These include: 

    Fresher’s Party

    In February 2019, BSBI hosted its first fresher’s party where current students and staff welcomed new students with a fun party. It was an evening of music, dancing and refreshments with some of BSBI’s senior students singing live Indian folk music.

    @re_publica conference in Berlin

    In May 2019, some BSBI students attended a @re_publica conference in Berlin, one of the leading European conferences in the digital industry. As this event draws sponsors such as Daimler AG and Deutsche Bank, it was a great chance for BSBI students to attend panels led by entrepreneurs working in the digital sector, and become familiar with the best practices in the industry.

    Corporate visit from Motion.Lab’s CEO
    In May 2019, BSBI students had the opportunity to get a company tour by Motion.Lab’s CEO. This corporate visit taught them about how diversity is an important factor in start-up companies. 
    Entrepreneurship Dragon’s Den Event
    BSBI students enrolled in the MA in International Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management pitched their business plans in front of the judges. Prizes were awarded for the student who presented best, the student who has the most innovative concept and for the student who came up with the best business plan of the year.
    YouTube star visits campus
    The school also had the pleasure of welcoming YouTube star, Nikhilesh Dhure AKA MensPro on campus where he vlogged about his time at BSBI.

    If you’re an international student who’s interested in applying to Berlin School of Business and Innovation, you will need to ensure you have a valid visa/residence permit. You will also need the following documents: 

    • Certificate of health insurance, 
    • Valid passport, 
    • Three passport photos with biometric specifications, 
    • Proof of covered finances, 
    • Letter of admission from BSBI 
    • Academic certificates
    • Proven English proficiency 
    • Residence permit fee

    It is advised that international students open a blocked bank account which will act as a reassurance for authorities. You will only be able to access these funds after you’ve settled in the country.

    Scholarships 

    There are partial scholarships available for international students, however these are based on merit. For more information, contact a student advisor at BSBI. 

    BSBI also offer great discounts for each degree program, as well as flexible payment plans if necessary.

    In addition, students don’t need to pay tuition fees all at once. Students are, however, required to pay a €2,000 deposit to secure their place in the degree program of their choice. 


    Berlin School of Business and Innovation places a great deal of importance on its students’ career success. 

    Students at BSBI will receive full support from the Career Services at the school, where dedicated career experts will help identify work placements that are most suited to your skills and experience, as well as offer useful feedback on job applications, and advise you on how you can improve your interview techniques.
