Student life

BSBI is dedicated to providing an enriched student experience during their time studying with us. Student-led activities: Our student services team actively engages with the Student Council in organising activities that provide relevant exposure to the student community. These are intended to enrich the experience of students on all campuses, from networking sessions and community events for peer-to-peer support to theme-specific discussions, sports activities, and cultural evenings. These events give students a holistic view of the culture of the city they are in and also of the community culture at BSBI. Industry/company visits: BSBI organises events that allow students to engage and share practical knowledge with industry experts. From company presentations to onsite visits and exposure events, students are given the opportunity to learn outside the bounds of the classroom. Academic initiatives: The faculty and research team provides many avenues for students to practice their skill sets, expand their knowledge, and test their boundaries in a wide range of activities.

Our dedicated Careers Service helps you reach your goals, develop plans, and realise your potential.

Employability services: By combining theory with practice, BSBI bridges the gap between education and the shifting requirements of today’s global marketplace. The services we provide students and alumni should significantly increase their chances of finding employment in the German labour market upon graduation. We offer career training, coaching, and networking events to help individuals develop personally and professionally, covering areas such as German business culture, job application preparation, job search strategies, interview coaching, self-marketing, networking skills, online networking platforms, communication and presentation skills, and preparation for career events.

Career workshops: We build strategic partnerships with local firms and associations to organise networking events for students and alumni to meet employers. Our Careers Service allows you to independently search and apply for student jobs, internships, and graduate positions, market yourself to prospective employers, have a professional image taken for your CV and online networking account(s), learn networking skills, succeed in interviews and negotiate with confidence, become acquainted with the local business culture, and find job and placement vacancies based on your unique search preference on JobTeaser.

As an alumna/alumnus, you retain access to the Careers Service and can book appointments with a Careers Advisor, attend career events on campus, or continue to browse job opportunities on the BSBI JobTeaser platform for up to 12 months after your graduation.

Career fairs: BSBI organises a biannual Career Fair where students and alumni network with businesses, attend company presentations, discuss opportunities, or hand in their CVs directly to the recruiting teams. Attendance at the Fairs is free of charge to both students and alumni and the visiting employers.

Company presentations: Company representatives from leading German and international firms are regularly invited to BSBI to present their work and organisations. The visits give students and alumni a chance to gain first-hand industry knowledge, learn about organisational values, find out about internship or graduate job application processes, and about any open positions the companies currently recruit for.

Career and employability partners: As part of our commitment to supporting the career development of our alumni and students, we work together with a range of reputable local, national, and global organisations. These career and employability partnerships allow us to provide job or placement opportunities to our graduates and students as well as host employer events that facilitate the learning process about different industry sectors and enable professional connections. We take pride in collaborating with these excellent organisations and are constantly seeking new ways of expanding our partnership network to enhance the career prospects of our alumni and students alike.

Yes, degrees delivered at BSBI, awarded by Universitá Telematica Internazionale UNINETTUNO, University for the Creative Arts and Concordia University Chicago, are recognised and accredited.

Under the title ‘master’s degree of Primo Livello’, the study programme does not guarantee a direct entry to a third cycle degree such as a DBA or a PhD in any university, as you also need a solid research proposal and usually five years of previous education in the first and second cycles. Doctorate applications are assessed on their merit and each university and country has their own admissions criteria. However, all graduates that we know with a UNINETTUNO master’s degree did not encounter any problem in being accepted. UNINETTUNO is now also offering, via BSBI, its own DBA course for students who wish to progress from their postgraduate qualifications, in Berlin.
University for the Creative Arts (UCA) uses UK credits and in this framework all Bachelor programmes have 360 UK credits (e-year duration) and all Masters 180 UK credits (18-month duration).
