Admission Requirements

International students whose native language is not English must provide official results of the Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
Only official TOEFL and IELTS score reports will be accepted and must be submitted using the appropriate reporting code. Photocopies of test scores or unofficial records will not be accepted. IELTS scores will only be accepted through the E-Delivery service and must be sent to Boston University Graduate Programs.
Boston University School of Public Health does not accept Duolingo English Test results.

Students entering the program receive a full-funding package, which includes tuition, health insurance and fees, and a stipend for four years. Support for the stipend is provided via research fellowships or training grants.
Successful candidates most often have research and work experience in a public-health related field.
A Master’s degree in epidemiology or another public health discipline or at least 2 completed semesters in a current Master’s program in epidemiology or another public health discipline.
We do not require the GRE or GMAT for admission. International students whose native language is not English must provide official results of the Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
