Focusing on a person-centred approach, the course will help you develop into a reflective, creative, and effective practitioner. Through a blend of classroom learning and hands-on experience, you will build confidence in both academic and clinical environments.
Over the two-year programme, you will explore the theory underpinning mental health nursing whilst gaining valuable experience on placement. You will also benefit from access to our on-campus simulation suite, where you can practise your clinical and communication skills in a realistic, supportive setting before beginning your placements.
This course has been developed in collaboration with service users and experienced professionals, ensuring a holistic curriculum that reflects contemporary mental health care. With its inclusive and practice-focused approach, the MSc will prepare you to lead and innovate in nursing care, placing service users at the heart of everything you do.
