    The Central Academy of Fine Arts, located in Beijing, the capital of China, is an academy where culture, history and art are flourishing, which enjoys the best art resources in the world. CAFA, as a leading institution for modern art education in China, provides a rich land for those who wish to learn experience and engage in creativities, which has nurtured quite a lot of pre-eminent artists in the past ninety years. CAFA’s main objectives are the cultivation of high-quality professionals, who are able to be elites in the arts, CAFA remains a reasonable scale in terms of space and student number, highlighting its academic, experimental, practising and multi-disciplinary developments, which should be appropriate to a high art educational infrastructure in a modern era.

    CAFA has a first-class teaching staff and professional teaching facilities and it aims to cultivate a large number of artists with broad international vision and solid basic teaching internationally and domestically. Now, there are about 5000 full-time students in total, including 200 international students from 40 different countries.

    The Central Academy of Fine Arts has eight schools, namely the School of Chinese Painting, the School of Plastic Arts, the School of Design, the School of Humanities, the School of Architecture, the School of Urban Design, the School of Experimental Art and the School of Art Management and Education. More than 20 majors including fine arts, visual communication design, digital media art, fashion and apparel design, product design, architecture, environmental design, animation, experimental art, and art management. There is also a preparatory course for foreign students.
