The interdisciplinary Environment, Economics, and Politics (EEP) major is designed to prepare students for careers in a variety of environmental fields as well as for graduate study in a related field. The major is designed to develop a general understanding of the various disciplines that study environmental systems including biology, chemistry, economics, and government policy. The program also emphasizes the ways in which the various disciplines inform each other in environmental decision-making settings. This major cannot be combined with economics or government as a dual major. Faculty members from several disciplines contribute to the required courses for the EEP major. The EEP major is administered by the Environment, Economics, and Politics Committee.

Student must have a High School with Four years of English, Three (preferably four) years of mathematics, At least three years of a foreign language (this can be three total years or up to the third level), At least one year of history, and At least two years of science (Management Engineering candidates and prospective science majors should have taken physics and chemistry). Other language requirements are a minimum score of 600 on the paper-based TOEFL exam.
