Founded in 1980 as a genuine private institution, DJU has grown into a university respected and loved by the nation, the local community, and the students. Based on the experiences and wisdom accumulated over the past thirty years, we are fully committed to achieving our goal for another decade of creative challenges.Facing an era of challenge and change, we, as a youthful university with a new paradigm, strive to become a regional leaders and dedicate ourselves to Challenge 2015, the new goal to make us a renowned university to emphasize an undergraduate study with a world standard. Furthermore, we established Vision 2020, our university's educational brand, to make the changes in the environment of higher education and university education policies.As a leading university to create a student-centered university culture with a special emphasis on the undergraduate study program, DJU endeavors to evolve into a cradle nurturing creative and talented people for the 21st century. We respect the quality and value of the university education for the mid- and long-term survival and provide an environment and conditions to deliver high quality education, Based on the vision and concept of the educational brand announced in 2010, we intend to develop talented people equipped with 'solid fundamentals' and 'special experiences' and set the 'V Plan' to realize such vision.
