Master of Education and Innovation

Applicants must hold a Baccalaureate/bachelor’s degree in education or in a related discipline appropriate for the master's program from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0-point scale or its established equivalent.

Applicants with a degree from a university outside of the UAE are required to provide a certificate of equivalency from the Ministry of Education in the UAE.   

Applicants must also hold a minimum score of IELTS Academic 5.5, or its equivalent on other national or internationally recognized tests that are approved by the CAA, such as TOEFL score of 530 (197 CBT, 71 iBT).

Specific Requirements for Admission to concentrations

ECAE will give preferential consideration to applicants with an undergraduate degree in the subject of the selected concentration.

1. For General Science Concentration, a degree in either education, science, or a related discipline is acceptable.

2. For the Mathematics concentration, the applicant should hold a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.

3. For Early Childhood Education, a degree in either Education, Psychology, or a related discipline is acceptable.

4. For Teaching English Language, a degree in either Education, English, Linguistics, or a related discipline is acceptable.

Students must provide evidence of a minimum score of 7.0 Academic IELTS academic or its equivalent or on any nationally or internationally recognized tests that are approved by the CAA.

Conditional admission for Academic IELTS academic score less than 7.0 will not apply.

Conditional Admission Requirements

ECAE may grant conditional (provisional) admission to the master’s program for applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree in education or in a relevant discipline with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), provided that all other entry requirements are met.
