45 credits - The MHA program educates students who are committed to improving healthcare and health policy by engaging in and promoting improvements in programs and services. This program incorporates coursework in management theory and medical informatics training, knowledge of healthcare systems, business, finance, law, policy and critical values in decision making. The MHA opens up professional management and leadership opportunities in acute care (hospitals and health care systems), information technology, senior care services, healthcare consulting, pharma, ambulatory care, and other patient and client care careers.

An MHA degree incorporates coursework in business and medical informatics training, knowledge of health care systems, management theory, finance, quality, law, policy, critical values in decision making and much more. The only prerequisite for matriculation into the MHA program is an undergraduate course from an accredited source in introductory statistics earning a "B" grade or better.  You do not have to have completed the statistics course before you apply or to be accepted into the program.  You just have to complete it before you arrive for courses your first semester.
