M.Sc. (Mathematics) is a two-year post-graduate degree course planned to brush up on the students' capabilities to pursue advanced learning about the subject. The programme is equipped with studies pertaining to classical Mathematics and modern computing (both symbolic and numerical computations). The students also get exposed to various engrossing modules such as coding theory, operation research graph theory, fractal geometry, number theory and analytical theory. Moreover, the scholars can opt for research work as per their core interest and applied mathematics and computing cryptography.

Apart from the regular course and research projects, the programme also emphasizes enhancing the numeracy skills of the students and encouraging them to use its concepts to solve financial mathematical problems. The other concern area of the course is to train the students to understand different forms of Mathematics. Those who aspire to proceed with advanced studies in Mathematics must prefer doing a Ph.D. in the same subject. The course allows the students to apply Mathematics in software development and practical cases.

M.Sc. (Mathematics) aims at rendering in-depth subject knowledge and learning to the students to shape their careers in multiple areas such as IT, science and technology, engineering and much more. The programme intends to prepare students for various entrance tests organized by universities and institutes. It also supports them in growing their future through NET, Ph.D., UGC-CSIR etc. Therefore, the aspirants looking forward to embracing their career growth by solving issues practically through data interpretation and proper analysis must opt for this programme.
