Our BSc (Hons) Music Production and Promotion degree is one of five exciting courses in the Undergraduate Music Programme which center around music creation, developing and honing your skills, and understanding a range of musical and production styles and their placement within industry.

This course is designed to blend music production skills and sound technology with the key promotional skills required for aspiring music producers.
You will develop your own musical style whilst learning how to record, produce and master your products so that they are industry ready for marketing and promotion.

There are no formal exams, with the focus placed instead on practical work. As creative technologists you will use your own music as coursework submissions, with the aim of building up an impressive portfolio of work that is release ready.
On this course you will collaborate extensively within the School of Creative Arts, connecting with peers in the fields of Songwriting, Audio Engineering, Live Sound, Lighting and Performance Technology. These shared experiences are reflective of how you will work in industry.

Many of our university staff within the Music department are active within the music industry, whether as producers, songwriters, composers, remixers, sound designers or technology journalists, and are able to bring their experience and expertise into the teaching space.
