Programme overview
Main Subject
Engineering - Electrical and Electronic
Degree
BA
Study Level
Masters
Study Mode
On Campus
Context:
Electrical Engineering (Extended of Classical Electrical Engineering speciality) is the convergent point of four specialties:
1. Industrial electricity (high-current electricity: electrical machines, power electronics, high voltage, etc.)
2. Electronics (Low-current electricity, analog, digital, etc.)
3. Automatics (command, control, regulation, robotics, etc.)
4. Industrial computing (Programming languages of: Microprocessor, Microcontroller, DSP, FPGA, PLC, etc.)
Aim :
• The proposed specialty has the main goal of training engineers which can be adept to use the tools and methods of integrated engineering in companies, in the public and private industrial sectors, in research and development and also the education training.
• The training also prepares the student engineer for the integration of doctoral research.
Opportunities :
Graduates in this major will have acquired, by the end of this training program, the skills necessary to integrate a professional environment in the production, transport, distribution or exploitation of electrical energy.
In addition, the Electrical Engineer can be:
1. Operational in the field (industrial sector: private or public)
2. Engineer in the design offices (Research Engineer).
3. Teacher.
