Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HiCET – www.hicet.ac.in), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India was founded in the year 2000-2001 by Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust (www.hindusthan.net). Surrounded with natures pristine beauty and an excellent infrastructure combined with dedicated and experienced faculty has made the campus a much sought-after abode of learning. HiCET is one of the premier technological institutions inculcating quality and value- based education through innovative teaching learning process for holistic development of the students. The institution is recognized under University Grants Commission (UGC), an Autonomous Institution, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institution follows Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and Outcome Based Education (OBE) in its academic system.

The institution is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A++ graded, accredited with National Board of Accreditation (NBA), National Institutional ranking Framework, Government of India (NIRF) Ranked (band 101-150) and DSIR-SIRO recognized research based institution. At present, the college is offering 15 UG Programmes (BE / BTech), 7 PG Programmes (ME, MBA & MCA) and 8 Research Programmes.

Currently (2023-2024), there are 5640 students pursuing various programmes in the institution and are mentored by 366 well qualified and experienced faculty members. Industry-Integrated programmes and the Innovation Centres of the institution encourages creativity, innovation and identifying business thereby encouraging entrepreneurship and start-ups.
