The department of Information Technology (IT) offers a four year undergraduate degree programme Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology since 2002. The programme is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) India and has permanent affiliation with Anna University Chennai. The programme is also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) India).  Students enrolled in this programme can experience a unique combination of theoretical courses and laboratory courses and thereby equip themselves with knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage the infrastructure of an organisation to meet the needs of users.

During the course of this programme, Students gain a solid foundation in the principles of Information Technology and its management. In particular, students learn the various aspects of information technology including programming, database management and administration, computer networks and administration, web and mobile application development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cyber security and cloud applications and deployment. This is how the students are skilled to make informed decisions and to effectively provide IT solutions for an organization.
