International Institute of Information Technology - Hyderabad (IIIT-H)

International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university, founded as a not-for-profit public-private partnership (N-PPP) in 1998, and is the first IIIT in India under this model. Over the years, the institute has evolved strong research programmes in various areas, with an emphasis on technology and applied research for industry and society. The institute facilitates interdisciplinary research and a seamless flow of knowledge. Several world-renowned centers of excellence are part of IIITH’s research portfolio. It has established various collaboration and co-innovation models with an industry outreach spanning significant national and multinational companies. Its innovative curriculum allows students flexibility in selecting their courses and projects. Even undergraduate students get to participate in ongoing research and technology development - an opportunity unprecedented in India.

The institute has high-quality B.Tech programmes in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE). An innovative curriculum allows students flexibility in selecting courses and undertaking research projects. Our trans-disciplinary programmes effectively combine Computer Science with other domains such as computational Natural Sciences, Computational Linguistics, Humanities and Geospatial Technologies. IIITH’s Master’s programmes include both technology and domain areas. Our Dual-Degree programmes as well as master’s and Ph.D programmes have produced research-oriented individuals who are making their mark in top universities and product groups of the industry.

IIIT Hyderabad believes that any institute should have multiple ways to identify talent for admission to different programs. IIIT Hyderabad has several admission options such as the JEE Mains examination and Special Channel of Admissions (SPEC) for Single Degree Programmes; Olympiad winners,  Lateral Entry  Entrance  Examination (LEEE)   into the dual-degree programmes for students completing their 2nd year B.E. or B.Tech from other institutes; Direct Admissions for Students Abroad (DASA) through SAT for students who either hold a foreign passport or have studied abroad, an in-house UGEE entrance exam for all dual-degree programmes; and Admission through Board Scores etc.,
