KFU is ranked among the top 550 universities in the world, in the QS World University Rankings® 2016-2017. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject, it’s in the global top 200 for linguistics, and the top 400 for both mathematics and physics. KFU has also been rated three stars overall in the QS Stars evaluation system, achieving the maximum five stars in the ‘facilities’ and ‘innovation’ categories, and four stars for ‘teaching’.

Over 2,000 international students from around 90 countries are enrolled on academic programs at Kazan Federal University.
