Uzumasa is the main campus and has lecture buildings for the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Humanities, Health and Medical Science, and Engineering.
Kameoka Campus has athletic facilities and also contains the building for the Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences. Engineering students will be studying at our brand-new engineering building located on Uzumasa Campus.
KUAS has three libraries, a gym and yoga room, as well as other athletic facilities ranging from multi-use courts to a driving range, and of course the cafeterias which are a quintessential experience at Japanese universities.

Student life

Currently, KUAS has around 80-100 international students (including exchange programs) from eight different countries studying at our two campuses.
Since creating an all-English engineering program starting in 2020, KUAS’s goal is to have a 1:1 ratio of Japanese and international students.

There are 39 clubs and student activity groups at KUAS, including soccer, girls' basketball, powerlifting, and baseball, as well as dance and videogame programming.
KUAS has the International Student Dormitory for engineering students, located inside the South Building on Uzumasa Campus with a library and workshop that are open 24 hours a day.

The dormitory is only available for first year engineering students. In general, students who are not in the engineering course, and engineering students in their second year live off campus. Kyoto city is known for being a college town, so there are many types of residences and apartments available.

96.8 percent of graduates from other faculties are successful in finding a job immediately after graduation. The top three areas include retail sales, manufacturing, and health and medical science.

KUAS' career support team and internship team assist engineering students to become engaged with these industries and inspire them to explore the landscape of great career opportunities in Japan. Students can also participate in overseas internship programs or get jobs abroad.

Besides job hunting, the international office helps to provide a pathway for students who would like to try studying abroad with one of our partner universities from around the world.
