The Basic Medical Sciences program adopts the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) system.
Problem-based learning (PBL) is a teaching strategy that falls under the umbrella of active learning, where the learner is the focus and foundation of the learning process. Learning in this approach occurs by transforming the lesson objective into a specific problem that requires, first and foremost, discovery, then understanding, analysis, and finding an appropriate solution.
The week is divided into six days, three of which are dedicated to the problem.
